Our Livery Testimonials

“ I couldn’t rate Cornish Ranch Track Livery highly enough and I have been so impressed with the level of knowledge and commitment Hannah and John have applied to delivering an amazing environment and care for each and every horse lucky to be living in their little spot in paradise. I’ve kept horses on a series of track set ups for over 8 years now and can honestly say I have not seen a better set up than at Cornish Ranch Track Livery. The commitment to delivering a full year-round useable surface and track system without grass has been perfect for us to support natural physical strength development, coupled with a careful consideration of balanced herd dynamics. All credit to the beautiful heard Hannah and John have built, their horses are cared for in the same way they care for liveries, and I have seen my horse become calmer, more confident and find a solid place in the herd with real, secure friendships. Many modern set ups shy away from allowing large herds, but I can honestly say this has made a huge difference to my horse’s mental health and could not imagine her living any other way; it allows me to focus on building my relationship with my horse with our time together, rather than constant monotonous exercise for weight loss or boredom relief, I feel like my horses friend again rather than her fitness coach! Jin has some physical issues, including grass intolerance and confirmation issues, leading to weight gain and coupled with injuries, making her a complicated little soul to manage and Hannah and John have taken on the challenge and excelled! Even whilst rehabbing from an injury sustained before she arrived and unable to carry out traditional exercise, I’ve seen her other problems resolve naturally and without drastic interventions, her weight coming down, strength improving and her confirmation issues becoming less of a problem. A healthy slow weight loss of over 50kg over 5 months has been more than I could have hoped for! Couple all the amazing benefits of natural herd and track life delivered to an excellent standard, the Ranch is located in the most beautiful location, with miles and miles of hacking available, including off-road on the moors and plenty of natural hills for conditioning, and a wonderful group of horse owners all with shared values to put the horse first, it really feels like any horse owners dream!”

"I brought my pony Bobby to the Cornish Ranch Track in March this year, after a friend showed me the Facebook page. Although I kept Bobby on a small track next to my other horses, he spent most of his time staring over the gate at my kitchen window. I decided he needed more exercise and more interaction with other ponies, he was lonely. He has EMS, so no grass, only hay, high fibre foods and lots of exercise. I've found the Cornish Ranch Track to be an answer to my prayers, nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Mount/Cardinham near Bodmin Moor. The Track is well designed with undulating terrain, a large shelter and sandpit for rolling, creating a perfect environment for horses to thrive. One of it's stand out features is how it caters for ponies that require a specialised low sugar diet, the environment is ideal for any horse needing a more natural lifestyle. Horses here genuinely seem happier and more content in a herd , whether you have a pony like my Bobby, with specific needs, or simply want a place where your horse can live as natural a life as possible, this Track is an excellent choice. Bobby has settled so well, his lameness has disappeared, he is more relaxed than I have ever known him to be and spends time grooming and being groomed by his favourite friends. He's happy which makes me happy and I can relax in the knowledge that he is being well looked after and cared for. Best decision I've made in years, brilliant owners and very friendly other horse owners."

"Rosie came to the track in April this year. It's been the best decision as she's a completely different horse. She's chilled, relaxed, so much more confident and seems really happy. Rosie doesn't have any particular issues requiring her to be on a track system but after some research I really liked the concept and it hasn't disappointed. It's a very relaxed yard and we are all like a big family, everyone is so supportive. Hannah and John are so warm and welcoming and so very supportive and it's so nice to know that Rosie is being so well cared for. I cannot recommend them enough."

"I moved my young horse to the ranch 3 weeks after we moved to Cornwall and his first yard didn’t have any winter turnout. Nico doesn’t stable well and I worried I wouldn’t find anywhere that I could keep him but as soon as I visited Hannah and John I didn’t need to worry. Moving him to the track is the best decision I could have made, it’s been amazing to see how happy he is and how much of his personality is showing now that he’s settled in his herd. He’s also gone from a horse I struggled to keep weight on with conditioning feed to looking the best he ever has and barely getting any hard feed. I couldn’t ask for a nicer yard, more helpful owners or a better bunch of liveries. I can’t wait to start riding Nico so I can enjoy the beautiful hacking!"

"Robin, our New Forest, was not doing well on rich grass even though we restricted it. We made the hard decision to transport him to The Cornish Ranch from Jersey to give him the life he needs to thrive and be well. We could not be more thrilled with his incredible progress. Thanks to Hannah and her team for keeping me updated very regularly and sending videos and photos so we feel very much involved. We know he is getting the best care that he can and we can highly recommend The Cornish Ranch Track Livery and in a beautiful setting too!"
